UCT’s Graduate School of Business (GSB) was rated the Best Business School in Africa for the third consecutive year at the Eduniversal 3rd Global Convention of the Best Business Schools, held recently in Prague, Czech Republic.
The school was also re-warded 5 Palmes, Eduniversal’s highest honour for international reputation.
Professor Walter Baets, director of GSB, was delighted by the honour, especially given that the Eduniversal system is based on a peer-review methodology, in which business school deans from around the world vote. This year deans from more than 70% of the 153 countries involved in Eduniversal participated in the voting process.
“I believe that a peer-reviewed award such as this is one of the most valuable metrics to measure a business school by,” said Baets.
“We at the GSB aim to be the leading business school on the African continent in emergent market expertise. I am delighted that the international business school community has recognised our ongoing efforts to make the UCT GSB the best business school in Africa. Their votes are a tremendous boost,” he added.
