Cinema Makeup School recently introduced a brand new scholarship competition for creative artists from the costuming and make-up communities. One of CityVarsity’s Art Department alumni, Jeanne-Mare Raubenheimer, entered this contest and made it to the top five finalists worldwide. Jeanne-Mare is a makeup artist, painter and production designer who does distinctive work on art projects all over the world – from her native South Africa to places as far flung and culturally diverse as Egypt, Ireland, Turkey and Austria. She received a $1,000 scholarship to Cinema Makeup School.
The competition was judged by cosplay star Yaya Han, Oscar winner Joel Harlow, makeup legend Leonard Engelman, multiple Emmy winner Michael Key, CMS CAO Michael Spatola and CMS Director of Admissions Lee Joyner.
