Students at Rhodes University are affectionately known as “Rhodians” not only because they attend the university but because they have a proud nature with a combination of culture, history and intellect that they live by.
Rhodes campus has grown tremendously over the last few years. Today there are about 150 buildings and 39 residences. Graced with 203 hectares of lovely grounds, an abundance of sport facilities are nestled in the hills of the beautiful and historic city of Grahamstown.
The university offers an ideal physical environment for studying. You will live, learn and play in elegant pastures and stone-under-tile buildings, several of which are National Monuments.
Rhodes University has six faculties that represent the high learning standards set and upheld by the university itself. The facuties are:
