The new educational partnership between CTI Education Group (SA) and Cardiff Metropolitan University in Wales (UK) forges many educational opportunities for South African students.
Various educational opportunities were discussed last month, during CTI’s inaugural Senate meeting in Johannesburg where Cardiff Metropolitan University (UK) was represented by Pro-Vice Chancellor (International) Professor Mohamed Loutfi.
With the launch of the new Higher Education Quality Committee (HEQC) accredited degrees, CTI established a partnership with the Cardiff Metropolitan University which supports the quality-assurance of the degrees according to the highest international standards and ensures that the quality is of equivalent standing to a UK degree.
CEO of CTI Education Group, Darren Fox, welcomed this unique partnership with Cardiff Metropolitan University and said, “This educational opportunity will benefit students in that they’ll have the assurance that their qualifications are recognised in the UK at the highest academic level whilst being accredited, registered and recognised by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA), Higher Education Quality Committee (HEQC) and the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET).”
Cardiff Metropolitan University
Cardiff Metropolitan University is ranked amongst the leading new universities in the UK and is renowned for the quality of its international student experience. Benefits of the international relationship
Cardiff Metropolitan University will quality-assure the CTI degrees according to international standards and ensures that the qualifications are of equivalent standing to a UK degree. Alongside Cardiff Metropolitan University’s profound reputation graduates will have the opportunity to apply for postgraduate studies at many other UK universities abroad.
Furthermore, students who have successfully completed the CTI bachelor degrees, moderated and quality assured by Cardiff Metropolitan University may be considered for direct entry to Cardiff Metropolitan University’s Master’s degrees, provided they meet all other necessary entry criteria.
Students could also benefit from Cardiff Metropolitan University’s outward mobility programme which involves the exchange of students between CTI in South Africa and Cardiff Metropolitan University in the UK.
To celebrate the launch of this exciting collaborative partnership between CTI Education Group and Cardiff Metropolitan University, a cocktail dinner will be hosted at the UK High Commissioner’s Residence in Pretoria on Monday 25 February 2013.
