This qualification is intended to lay the foundation for a learner who wishes to undertake a career in the fashion industry. The learner will be taught how to relate fabrics and design to market needs, and will be able to cost and carry out the design through the finished sample garment. The learner will be able to apply the theoretical and practical elements of the fashion design process within the related business environment.
