Qualified students, who complete this diploma, prepare themselves for a career as engineering technicians or technologists in the big world of the construction industry. Three basic activities are dealt with, namely planning and design, construction and maintenance. The work of the diplomat will vary, depending on the area in which he/she may be working, but in all the areas he/she will be required to assist professional engineers.
