Introduction
The programme covers the following areas:
Managing the Teaching Process, Developing Nursing Curricula, Nursing Education Practice, Teaching and Learning Strategies and Assessment, Nursing Education Regulatory Process, Nursing – Cardiovascular and Circulatory Systems, Respiratory and Renal Systems, Neurological System, Metabolic, Endocrine and Multi-system Problems.
This programme is also offered via satellite transmission.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR CURRENT GRADE 12 LEARNERS
- Minimum statutory NSC requirements for diploma entry must be met.
- Registration as a General Nurse with the South African Nursing Council.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICANTS WHO MATRICULATED PRIOR TO 2008
- Candidates must have full or conditional matriculation exemption, or a senior certificate, school leaving certificate or equivalent qualification.
- They must be registered with the South African Nursing Council as a registered nurse.
DURATION
The qualification shall extend over at least one year of full-time or two years of part-time study.
