This Skills Programme deals with the fundamental principles of double entry bookkeeping, the recording of transactions in all the different books of account, debtors and creditors control accounts, bank reconciliation, processing of purchases, creditors reconciliation and various sundry transactions and VAT. Learners completing this Skills Programme should be able to gain employment as an Assistant Bookkeeper.

Once the Learner has successfully completed the Assistant Bookkeeper Skills Programme, he/she will acquire the skills to prepare annual financial statements of a sole trader, including year-end adjustments, depreciation and profit & loss on disposal of fixed assets. Learners completing this Skills Programme should be able to gain employment as a Bookkeeper.

This Skills Programme deals with the legal, administrative and accounting fundamentals that underline the month-end procedures for a payroll administrator. Topics covered include basic conditions of employment, statutory registrations, and monthly SARS Returns such as the VAT 201 and the EMP 201. This course focuses mainly on the accounting function of the payroll administrator.
