This programme forms the core of the department’s undergraduate training and is designed to prepare students for a career as a Conservation Ecologist. Conservation ecologists are many things. Some work with non-governmental organizations to encourage farmers or miners to run their businesses in a more environmentally way, others repair damage, some assess potential impacts of land use, other predict outcomes of climate change or alien invasion.
