This specialised degree is aimed at students interested in careers in community development. This could involve facilitating and managing development projects and programmes in the private or public sector, or working with small and micro enterprises, mostly in the informal sector.  Students are introduced to projects and programmes as instruments of development, along with business management, entrepreneurship and small-business management, development theories, policies and strategies, and empowerment and popular initiatives.
