This programme gives students a thorough grounding in underground and surface mining, as well as solid knowledge of all facets of mining operations, from general construction through to environmental control, health and safety and geology. As part of the programme, students should spend at least 18 months gaining practical experience (called experiential learning) in a mining operation.
