The course is a focused skills-‐based series of lectures and practical
workshops that underpins the fundamental principles of
photography in an applied approach. The course aims to develop
your technical proficiency and the core content of this course
covers the anatomy of digital single-‐lens reflex cameras;
understanding exposure control and the interpretation of the light
meter; an introduction to the principles of light; gaining an
awareness of light and learning how to control and apply lighting on
subject matter; an introduction to design principles and their
correlation to frame division in photography; and how to use Adobe
CS6 for post-‐production and digital workflow.
