Mechatronics is an inter-disciplinary field, combining traditional electrical, electronic, mechanical, control and computer engineering skills, applied to solve problems that bridge the boundaries between these disciplines, requiring multi-skilled practitioners. Mechatronic engineering includes the study of electronics, software and mechanical engineering in the design and manufacture of products and processes.
