COURSE: NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN NATURE CONSERVATIO...

National Diploma in Nature Conservation (George Campus)
Type:
N/A
Duration:
4 Years Full Time

Introduction

The programme consists of two years of theoretical and one year of experiential training. During theoretical training students gain a sound grounding in animal and plant biology, ecology and resource management of South African ecosystems. The increasing need for community programmes such as community conservation and environmental education are also covered. Weekly practical excursions supplement the theory. During experiential training students work with experienced conservators who act as role models and mentors. In this manner the student gains an expanded work perspective and an ingrained work ethic.
