PRICEWATERHOUSE COOPERS BURSARY

Pricewaterhouse Coopers Bursary A PwC Bursary is awarded to students with a very good academic record. The value of the bursary will vary depending on evidence that you cannot afford the full costs. If you  are awarded a bursary, you will have  to work on a training contract with PwC when you complete your studies.

Who can apply for a bursary?

Bursaries are awarded to students who are studying towards their undergraduate and/or postgraduate qualifications in any of the following degrees:

  • BSc IT/ Computer Science

  • BSc IS/ Information Systems

  • BCom IT/ Informatics

  • Actuarial Science/Mathematics

  • Engineering Management

  • Accounting

  • Management


What are the requirements for selection?

To be considered for a PwC bursary, you need the following:

  • Be enrolled for studies for any of the above-mentioned degrees

  • If you are an undergraduate student you must pass all your university courses with an average of at least 70%

  • If you are a postgraduate student you must pass all your university courses with an average of at least 60%

  • You should show that you have good personal skills when you relate to other people. You also need to show that you have leadership skills. For example, you can make things happen because you have a strong personality, or you explain things so clearly. It is important to be able to assess a situation and start working on it independently; you must also recognise that  teamwork can be equally important.

As a recent graduate you may well be continuing with your studies after joining Pricewaterhouse Coopers. We recognise how important this is to you and to us as a firm. Our study support programmes are there to help you.

Financial Assistance for Studies

Financial assistance for further study is provided in the form of a bursary. The bursary will support further study in an area which is directly relevant to the employee's position in the firm at that time. Study must be through an accredited university, college or other appropriate  institution.

Will I be given enough study leave?

Study leave decisions are based on the firm's policy. Study leave  depends on the level of the course and the number of times you have already attempted it.
